Indian billionaire Kumar Mangalam Birla owns Jatia House, one of the most expensive residences in India, located in Malabar Hill, South Mumbai.

In 2018, Kumar Mangalam Birla, chairman of the Aditya Birla Group, emerged as the highest bidder for the sea-facing Jatia House in Mumbai.

The property spans over 30,000 square feet and was purchased by Kumar Mangalam Birla for Rs 425 crore after a day-long auction.

The interiors feature a brown and beige color scheme, with wall cladding matching the ceilings, both designed from Burma teakwood. The bungalow boasts 20 bedrooms.

The living room interiors exude a regal appeal with luxurious lighting, a cozy seating arrangement, and walls adorned with paintings.

The winding corridors of Jatia House lead to a sprawling garden area, featuring a pond and a central courtyard.

The bungalow used to be owned by Y Jatia. Inside, it has wide hallways, big bedrooms, and a large dining area for family get-togethers.
